Takeshi Nakamura connected for three homers Friday as the last-place Yokohama BayStars defeated the Yomiuri Giants 14-10 in a slugfest at Yokohama Stadium.
Nakamura belted a two-run homer in the second inning and a three-run blast in the sixth before adding a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh when the BayStars scored five runs.
Yokohama rookie Shuichi Murata chipped in with a three-run homer in the seventh.
Yokohama starter Domingo Guzman picked up the win after giving up four runs on eight hits over six innings.
With the loss, the Giants fell 7 1/2 games back of the idle Hanshin Tigers in the Central League standings.
