Japan missed out on a medal for the fourth straight Nordic Skiing World Championships when it finished sixth in the men's Nordic combined team competition on Monday.
Daito Takahashi, Norihito Kobayashi, Satoshi Mori and Jumpei Aoki, fifth after the ski jumping portion, dropped one place and finished 4 minutes, 9.07 seconds behind winner Austria after the 20-km cross-country relay. Germany was second and Finland third.
