ROME – Former Japan national coach Philippe Troussier has basically agreed to become the manager of the Moroccan national team, according to news reports coming out of Morocco.
The two sides have reportedly concluded preliminary negotiations in Paris, and Troussier is scheduled to travel to Morocco this week to nail down details of his contract.
Troussier, who led Japan to the second round of the 2002 World Cup finals in Japan and South Korea, reportedly is expected to serve as coach for the Moroccan national team as well as Morocco’s Olympic and youth teams.
