Japan's Aiko Uemura breezed into the women's moguls final at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships, finishing fourth in the qualifying round Wednesday.

Fellow Japanese Tae Satoya, a two-time Olympic medalist, and Miyuki Hatanaka join Uemura in the field of 16 skiers in Friday's final after placing 10th and 13th, respectively.

Uemura, fresh from her first career victory on the World Cup circuit earlier this month, looked fit for the tough Champion Course with some energy left to spare as she earned 24.35 points to finish 0.80 behind first-place Kari Traa of Norway.

In the men's qualifying round, Yugo Tsukita finished 14th with 23.51 points and became the only Japanese to advance to the final.
