Japan's Hideharu Miyahira performed two solid jumps to claim his first victory in five years at the HTB International ski jump Saturday.

Miyahira, who won the meet for the second time, blew away the competition with jumps of 138 and 139 meters for a total of 296.6 points on the K-120 large hill at Okurayama hill in Sapporo.

Pekka Salminen of Finland took second with 254.1 after leaps of 125.5 and 126.5 meters, followed by Akira Higashi who had jumps of 125 and 113.5 meters for 227.3 points.

Noriaki Kasai and Kazuyoshi Funaki, both of whom are taking part in World Cup events this season along with Miyahira, were fourth and fifth, respectively.
