Star jockey Yutaka Take returned to training Wednesday for the first time since suffering a broken pelvis over a month ago when he fell off his mount and said he hopes to make his comeback into competition by the end of the month.

"I wanted to ride and see if any part (of my body) would hurt, but I was all right. I hope to keep riding and make it in time for the race at Kyoto on April 20," Take said.

Take, 32, crashed to the dirt track during a race at Nakayama Racecourse on Feb. 24 after 3-year-old Kids World came to an abrupt halt with a leg injury and threw him off.
