In February, U.S. President Donald Trump shouted at Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a visit to the White House that Kyiv didn't “have the cards” to beat back Russian invaders.
On Tuesday, Trump abruptly switched gears.
“After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form,” Trump wrote in a stunning post to social media shortly after meeting Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
