A Japanese woman and her daughter who fled from North Korea arrived Friday in Japan from China after being under protection for about a month at the Japanese Consulate General in Shenyang.
They arrived at Tokyo's Haneda airport Friday afternoon after a transit stop at Kansai International Airport near Osaka at around noon.
According to a Japanese support group, the two are a 67-year-old woman and her 42-year-old daughter.
