As part of a monthlong effort to educate people on AIDS, Kanagawa Prefecture and the Yokohama YMCA have organized a series of workshops and seminars for Aug. 8 to Aug. 10 at the Kanagawa Citizens’ Center.

The 1997 AIDS Culture Forum in Yokohama will feature workshops, seminars, movies and symposiums to be held simultaneously at seven different exhibition sites within the center. Some programs will cover AIDS treatment in Australia and the United States. Another will address the experiences of foreigners with AIDS in Japan. Most of the programs will be conducted in Japanese, and foreigners are welcome. There will be no admission charge. For details, call the Yokohama YMCA at (045) 662-3721.
