For the veggie lovers out there, Happy Turn, a hugely popular fried-rice snack covered in a sweet buttery powder, now comes in two new flavors as Vege Happy: tomato and kabocha squash (¥128 each).

Unlike the original flavor, in which each little cracker is packaged individually, these new snacks come in resealable bags without all the extra garbage and hassle.

Happy Turn was created amid the recession following the first of the oil shocks as a way to cheer people up, so stop by for a bag if today’s economic woes have got you down.

In line with COVID-19 guidelines, the government is strongly requesting that residents and visitors exercise caution if they choose to visit bars, restaurants, music venues and other public spaces.
