Nara: Nerikuyo Eshiki

Requiem Parade. Procession of 25 priests wearing masks and special costumes of Bosatsu (Buddhist saint who is seeking a state of spiritual enlightenment) crosses a long bridge, which is believed to link this world with the Pure Land, leading people in fancy attire.

Access:
(1) JR Tokaido Shinkansen Line to Kyoto Sta. From there, take Kintetsu Kashihara Line to Kashihara Jingu-mae Sta., and change to Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line to Taimadera Sta., and then walk 15 min. (2) JR Nara Line to Nara Sta. From there, take Kintetsu Nara Line to Yamato-Saidaiji Sta., and change to Kintetsu Kashihara Line to Kashihara Jingu-mae Sta., and change to Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line to Taimadera Sta., and then walk 15 min.
