Kanagawa: Menkake Gyoretsu

Parade of men wearing grotesque and comical masks to pray for a rich harvest of the year.

the shrine

Location: Goryo-jinja Shrine and others, Kamakura, Kanagawa

JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Sta. From there, take Enoshima Dentetsu (Enoden) Line to Hase Sta., and then walk 5 min.
