Folk Dancing Meet, handed down for generations more than 700 years and designated as one of the National Important Intangible Folk Cultural Properties. Villagers in various kinds of colorful Yukata and sedge-hats or black hoods perform dancing by the light of bonfires, to the sound of Taiko, Yokobue (wooden flute) and Shamisen (three-stringed banjo) played by men on Yagura (a stage) situated in the center of the street.
