Nara: Setsubun Mantoro

Lantern Festival. More than 3,000 stone and bronze lanterns in the shrine precincts which had been dedicated by people in the Heian period (794-1185) up to now are lit up.

Schedule & Key events:
from 5:30 p.m.: Bugaku (ancient court dance with music) performance
6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Stone and bronze lanterns lighting up

Location: Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara, Nara

JR Nara Line to Nara Sta. or Kintetsu Nara Line to Kintetsu Nara Sta. From there, take Nara Kotsu bus to Kasuga Taisha Honden Bus Stop (15 min.)
