With a tail that never stops wagging, 11-year-old Omochi is pure love in a 22-kilogram package. She lost her home when her elderly owner couldn’t care for her any longer, but this girl has taken it all in stride.

She loves everyone — even people she’s meeting for the first time. And she’s fine with other dogs, too, though she can get a little bit too enthusiastic. This excitement can lead to some misunderstandings, but nothing that can’t be ironed out.

Though she can get a bit overly enthusiastic, Omochi gets along well with humans and other dogs for the most part.

Though Omochi is supposedly on a diet these days, she hasn’t quite taken it to heart. She’s a sensible girl that likes what she likes and won’t eat what she doesn’t. Treats are to die for, and she’ll bark at the slightest hint that they may be on offer.

Having only arrived at ARK only a few months ago, Omochi is likely to get snapped up soon. Interested parties should move quickly if they want to bask in all the love she has to give.

If you are interested in adopting, email ARK at [email protected] or call 050-1557-2763 (English or Japanese) Monday to Saturday (bilingual) for more information. Animal Refuge Kansai (with offices in Kansai and Tokyo) is an NPO founded by U.K. native Elizabeth Oliver. It is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals.
