Kazuki Paul Tsuyukusa, 28, was born in Kanagawa Prefecture but spent much of his childhood in Poland and the Czech Republic, before returning to Japan to become a professional sumo wrestler. He left the sport in 2021, taking positions as a trainer in Tokyo and an electronics company in Fukuoka.

1. What is your current job? For two years, I’ve been in charge of Kyushu sales for a global semiconductor trading company.

2. Do you use English in your job? I use English to communicate with the other people in the region, like the buyers. They’re in Dubai and China, and our headquarters is in the U.K.. We also communicate in English with the warehouse people, because the shipments come from Hong Kong.
