Los Angeles – Nasa Hataoka has been the model of consistency this season, and that steady play was rewarded as she shot a 67 on Sunday to finish at 15-under 269 to win the LA Open and capture her first LPGA title of the season.
The 23-year-old, who was one shot off the tournament record set by Canadian Brooke Henderson last year, was the only player to shoot 68 or better in every round at Wilshire Country Club, and her five-stroke win marked her sixth career victory and her second in a 72-hole event.
