Japan forward Takuma Asano will open his first season in Europe in the second division of Germany's Bundesliga on a loan deal, Arsenal announced Friday.
Asano, who has been named to the squad for Japan's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against United Arab Emirates and Thailand, will join German second-division side Stuttgart.
"I'm so happy to have joined the club," Asano said in a statement released on Stuttgart's website.
"So many Japanese have developed in Germany and I want to gain a lot of experience. I want to become a player who will contribute to the team."
