Right-hander Yu Darvish worked three innings in his second injury-rehabilitation assignment on Friday with Round Rock, the Texas Rangers' Triple-A affiliate.

Darvish, who is coming back from Tommy John reconstruction surgery on his right elbow last March, threw 50 pitches against New Orleans, the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.

He allowed one run on two hits and a walk while striking out three.

"I got speed on my pitches and for me I think I pitched better than last time," said Darvish, whose fastball clocked at 158 kph. "I felt good and threw more fastballs and that caused a bit of fatigue."
