World Cup winner Sara Takanashi won the International Miyasama Ski Games title on Friday, notching 248.0 points on Miyanomori Ski Jump Stadium's normal hill.

The 19-year-old Takanashi, who won her third overall World Cup title last month, returned to her native Hokkaido and led with a 94.5-meter jump before landing the day's longest jump of 95 meters with her second effort at the 100-meter, K-90 hill.

Takanashi won 14 of 17 events en route to the World Cup title and was a class apart as no other jumpers reached the 90-meter mark in wind and light snow.

"This season, I've managed to recover after my first jumps," Takanashi said. "The hills vary a lot in the World Cup so I need that ability to remain consistent."

The World Cup season came to a premature finish with the final two rounds of jumps scheduled for the weekend canceled due to insufficient snow. Now, Takanashi is set to conclude her season on Saturday on a large hill in Sapporo.

"I'm glad to have been able to return to Japan and compete, but I'm disappointed they (the World Cup jumps) were canceled," she said. "There're only a few opportunities to jump (on large hills) and I'll try to round off with a display I can be satisfied with."
