Kei Nishikori lost to world No. 1 Novak Djokovic 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in just over two hours in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open on Tuesday.

The top-seeded Serb, who wound up celebrating Australia Day in style, looked vulnerable early with numerous mistakes and first-serve trouble.

Nishikori, however, also unraveled early and struggled to catch up as he lost to Djokovic for the fifth straight time since beating him in the semifinals of the 2014 U.S. Open. Nishikori had 54 unforced errors to Djokovic's 27.
