FIFA executive committee member Kozo Tashima announced on Monday that he will run for the Japan Football Association presidency.
"I've been thinking about it for a while," Tashima said. "Everything I've said over the last 10 years I hope to stand by."
Tashima, 58, is the second candidate to announce his candidacy for the Jan. 31 election after general secretary Hiromi Hara also put his hand up.
Tashima has also served as the JFA's general secretary and technical director. He was elected to the FIFA executive committee in April as one of four members from the Asian Football Confederation.
