Top League side NTT Docomo Red Hurricanes announced the signing of South African international Jesse Kriel on Monday.
The 21-year-old Springbok, who can play center and wing, started six and appeared in all seven games at the recently finished Rugby World Cup in England, including the 34-32 shock defeat against Japan in their opening game.
Kriel made his test match debut two months before the World Cup on July 18 in the 24-20 defeat against Australia at the Rugby Championship.
He joins Springbok World Cup teammates Handre Pollard and Eben Etzebeth with Red Hurricanes, who won their opening round Group B game against Coca Cola Red Sparks 23-19.
