Takashi Uchiyama, the super champion of the WBA's super featherweight division, will make the 11th defense of his crown as part of a world title double header in Tokyo on New Year's Eve, his Watanabe Gym announced on Wednesday.

Ryoichi Taguchi will be attempting to defend his light flyweight title in the other fight at Ota Ward Gymnasium. Both Uchiyama and Taguchi's opponents have yet to be decided.

Uchiyama won his last title defense with a second-round technical knockout of Thai challenger Jomthong Chuwatana on May 6.

On the same card, Taguchi for the first time defended the WBA title he won in December with an eighth-round TKO of Thailand's Kwanthai Sithmorseng.
