Yomiuri Giants right-hander Miles Mikolas, who set a Central League-high .813 winning percentage this season, re-signed with the club for two years on Tuesday on an annual salary of ¥240 million ($1.98 million).
The 27-year-old American who joined the Giants in 2015 after a year with the Texas Rangers, stacked up 11 straight wins between June and October, leading the team that eventually finished second in the CL behind the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
The 196-cm Mikolas posted a 13-3 record with a 1.92 ERA in 21 outings this season.
