Teenage slugger Tomoya Mori, who has proven to be the most popular player in this summer's all-star voting, blasted two homers and a double on Wednesday as the Pacific League's Seibu Lions beat the Central League's Chunichi Dragons 4-1 in interleague action.

The 19-year-old Mori broke a 1-1 tie before a crowd of 24,312 when he hit his 10th home run of the season in the fourth inning off right-hander Daisuke Yamai (2-5). Lions captain Takumi Kuriyama went deep off Yamai in the fifth, and Mori, who was intentionally walked in the sixth, hit another solo shot in the eighth to complete the scoring.

In the latest all-star tallies published earlier on Wednesday, the 150,124 votes for Mori at designated hitter were the most for any player in any position in either league.
