Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters cleanup hitter Sho Nakata won Tuesday’s battle with teammate Shohei Otani when he had two hits, including a home run off the hard-throwing right-hander in an intrasquad game.

Nakata, who left a preseason game on Saturday with tightness in his right calf, showed no ill effects as he singled in the first inning and took a 154-kph heater out of Nago Municipal Stadium in the fourth.
