The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles have acquired the services of 30-year-old reliever Kam Mickolio, who was released from the Hiroshima Carp at the end of the season, on a contract for ¥150 million, including a signing bonus. The deal was announced on Saturday.

The 205-cm Mickolio, who posted a 1-1 record with 25 saves and 2.45 ERA in 51 games in his third year in Japan this past season, will wear the No. 43 jersey.
