The Dallas Mavericks said Tuesday they have waived Japan guard Yuki Togashi along with forward Eric Griffin.
The 21-year-old Togashi signed a contract with the Mavericks on Oct. 15 and was informed at that time that he was bound for Dallas' developmental league team, which will begin its season in November.
"My objective is to play a season in the D-League, get into games and do well," said Togashi, who has been completing his visa process and did not play in any preseason games.
