Kashiwa Reysol stayed on track to defend their Nabisco Cup title with a 2-1 win away to 10-man Yokohama F. Marinos in the first leg of the quarterfinals on Wednesday night.

Leandro opened the scoring for Reysol in the 63rd minute, only for Kosuke Nakamachi to level two minutes later at Mitsuzawa Stadium.

But Kashiwa took control of the tie ahead of Sunday's second leg, Masato Kudo firing in the winner before Yuzo Kurihara was sent off for Marinos in the 76th minute.

In other matches, Renato sealed a 3-1 win for Kawasaki Frontale away to Cerezo Osaka, Brazilian journeyman Marquinhos canceled out Takashi Usami's opener to give Vissel Kobe a 1-1 draw at home to local rival Gamba Osaka, while Sanfrecce Hiroshima and last year's beaten finalists Urawa Reds played out a 0-0 draw at Edion Stadium.
