Forward Takayuki Morimoto scored a brace as JEF United Chiba downed AC Nagano Parceiro 3-2 in newly appointed J. League second-division club manager Takashi Sekizuka's first match in the second round of the Emperor's Cup on Sunday.

J1 clubs Sagan Tosu and Albirex Niigata also advanced to the third round of the competition, along with J2 clubs Mito Hollyhock, Ehime FC and Kyoto Sanga.

Sagan Tosu, who reached the semifinals in the previous tournament, defeated Tokuyama University 4-1, thanks to a pair of goals from striker Yohei Toyoda. Niigata got a hat trick from Musashi Suzuki en route to thumping Saurcos Fukui 8-1.
