Cote d'Ivoire's man of the match Yaya Toure admitted he was uncertain how long he could go in his team's World Cup opener against Japan on Saturday.

The Manchester City midfielder had missed Cote d'Ivoire's two warmup games against Bosnia-Herzegovina and El Salvador in the United States because of a thigh injury suffered in the final game of the Premier League season.

Cote d'Ivoire manager Sabri Lamouchi had said a day earlier that Toure had recovered to a point where he was available for selection but was not 100 percent.
