Mika Miyazato dropped out of title contention with a 5-over par 77 in the third round of the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic on Saturday.

Starting the day tied for fourth place, Miyazato had just one birdie against six bogeys at Lake Merced Golf Club and slid down the leaderboard into a tie for 22nd at 2-over 218.

"My shots were not good and that led to a lot of bogeys in the first half of my round," said Miyazato.

American Stacy Lewis shot a 68 to hold onto top spot at 10-under, one shot clear of 17-year-old New Zealander Lydia Ko (68).

Also for Japan, Harukyo Nomura was at 3-over tied for 30th and Ayako Uehara and former world No. 1 Ai Miyazato were at 9 over in 66th.
