Toru Taniguchi held on to his overnight lead to win the Japan PGA Championship on Sunday for the fourth major title of his career.

Taniguchi shot a 1-over-par 73 to finish at 4-under 284, one stroke clear of fellow veteran Keiichiro Fukabori at Karasuyamajo Country Club.
