Winger Ryo Miyaichi has been named Bolton Wanderers' Player of the Month for February, the English Premier League club announced Wednesday.

The 19-year-old — called up for the senior Japan national team for the first time, but kept on the bench for Wednesday's 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Uzbekistan — has impressed since signing on loan from Arsenal on the final day of the January transfer window.

Over the course of the month Miyaichi played in three games for Wanderers. He made an encouraging debut as a substitute against Wigan Athletic and scored in his first start in a 2-0 away win at second-tier Millwall in the fifth round of the F.A. Cup.

Miyaichi then made his first Premier League start against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, before jetting off to join up with the Japan squad.
