Homare Sawa's INAC Kobe Leonessa had another memorable moment during their trip to Spain on Monday when they spent time with members of club world champion Barcelona.
INAC, who won a trip to Spain as a reward for capturing the Nadeshiko League, had their pictures taken alongside players such as Lionel Messi and Xavi during a visit to Barcelona's training facilities.
"This is great," FIFA Women's World Player of the Year Sawa said after receiving a jersey from Xavi, the player she admires the most. "I can't believe he gave me this."
Last Saturday, INAC watched Barcelona's 2-1 win over Real Sociedad at Camp Nou.
