Holders Jubilo Iwata advanced to the quarterfinals of the Nabisco Cup with a 3-0 win at home to Vegalta Sendai in the second round, second leg on Wednesday.

Two goals in the last nine minutes from substitute Shuto Yamamoto secured Iwata a 3-0 aggregate win after a goalless stalemate at Yurtec Stadium two weeks ago.

Elsewhere, Urawa Reds advanced 4-1 to book a meeting with Cerezo after a double from Ranko Despotovic earned them a 2-1 win at Omiya Ardija. Albirex Niigata beat Shimizu 3-1 for a 4-3 aggregate win and will meet Nagoya, while Yokohama F Marinos play Kashima for a place in the last four.

Yokohama lost 3-2 to Kawasaki Frontale on the night but went through 6-3 overall.

The semifinals, also one leg, will be played on Oct. 9 and the final takes place on Oct. 29.
