SAPPORO (Kyodo) Fumihisa Yumoto posted the day’s longest jump en route to successfully defend his title at the TVh Cup on Sunday.

Yumoto soared 133 meters on his first effort on the K-120 Okurayama hill before going on to claim his third domestic victory of the season with 259.8 points, 0.2 ahead of second-placed Shohei Tochimoto.

Tsuyoshi Ichinohe placed third and was followed in fourth by Taku Takeuchi, winner of Saturday’s UHB Cup. Veteran Takanobu Okabe finished sixth.

Ayumi Watase won the women’s event with 227.2 points to add to her victory at the UHB Cup.
