KITAHIROSHIMA, Hokkaido (Kyodo) Yuta Ikeda fired a 6-under-par 66 to open up a two-shot leading heading into the final round of the ANA Open on Saturday.

The 24-year-old made a pair of back-nine eagles and had four birdies against two bogeys to move up from a tie for eighth place at 9-under 207, two strokes clear of winless Koichiro Kawano and American Jay Choi.

Kawano also had a 66 and Choi shot a 70.

Hiroo Okamo was alone in fourth at 5 under after a 67, followed by a large group of players including Shingo Katayama (69) tied for fifth. Ryo Ishikawa, who turned 19 on Friday, could only manage an even-par 72 and dropped into a share of 29th.
