Holders FC Tokyo twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Nagoya Grampus in the opening round of Nabisco Cup group-stage matches Wednesday.

Australian striker Josh Kennedy put Grampus in front on 30 minutes and the visitors took the lead for a second time through Mitsuru Chiyotanda after Sota Hirayama had leveled for the Gasmen on 68 minutes at National Stadium.

Chiyotanda's effort looked to have settled matters until 18-year-old Kentaro Shigematsu scored the equalizer two minutes into second-half injury time.

All three games in Group A finished in draws as Yoshihito Fujita earned Omiya a 1-1 draw at Kyoto Sanga, while Albirex Niigata against Vegalta Sendai finished goalless.

In Group B, late goals from Jungo Fujimoto and Kazuki Hara gave Shimizu S-Pulse a 2-0 win at home to Shonan Bellmare, a last-gasp goal from Robson Ponte saw Urawa Reds snatch a 1-1 draw at home to Jubilo Iwata, while Yuji Nakazawa gave Yokohama F. Marinos a 1-0 win over Montedio Yamagata.
