CHIBA (Kyodo) Relegation-threatened JEF United Chiba eased into the third round of the Emperor's Cup on Monday with a 3-0 win over non-league Honda FC.
Former Japan striker Seiichiro Maki broke the deadlock on 49 minutes at Fukuda Denshi Arena and Takumi Wada added a second before Tatsunori Arai put the tie to bed nine minutes from time.
Third-round matches will take place Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, with Chiba traveling to fellow strugglers Oita Trinita.
