YOKOHAMA (Kyodo) Former Japan defender Naoki Matsuda cruelly denied holders Oita Trinita their first victory in 14 matches by snatching a last-gasp equalizer to give Yokohama F. Marinos a 3-3 draw in the Nabisco Cup on Saturday.
Koji Yamase’s double had put Yokohama in control against an Oita side that had come into the game without a win in any competition since beating Kyoto Sanga 1-0 at home in the J. League on March 14.
