Left-handed pitcher Koji Mitsui is set to stay with the Seibu Lions after twice failing to draw any bids from major league clubs this winter under the posting system.

Mitsui confirmed his decision Monday, saying, "I was prepared to return to the team if there were no bids in the second posting. I want to move on and do well in the coming season."

The 35-year-old, however, has not given up on his dream of pitching in the major leagues.

"I'll try to be fit, and hopefully I can get some attention (from major league clubs)," Mitsui said.
