GEISEI, Kochi Pref. (Kyodo) Komei Oda shot a bogey-free 6-under 66 to hold a one-stroke lead after the opening round of the Casio World Open on Thursday.

Oda, a winless 30-year-old, made three birdies each on the front and back nines at Kochi Kuroshio Country Club amid heightened security after minor explosions shattered windows at the clubhouse and building of a corporate sponsor last week.
