SHIMA, Mie Pref. (Kyodo) In-form Mayu Hattori and Miki Saiki got off to flying starts Friday, firing 5-under-par 67s to share the lead after the first round of the Mizuno Classic.
The 20-year-old Hattori, who captured her first career title at last week's Hisako Higuchi IDC Otsuka Ladies, made five birdies in a bogey-free round while Saiki had six birdies against one bogey at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club.
