Former Japan international Shinji Ono enjoyed a sparkling debut for VfL Bochum on Sunday, setting up both goals in a surprise 2-1 win at Werder Bremen in the German first division. Bochum fell behind to Daniel Jensen's strike a minute before the interval but Ono came off the bench and changed the complexion of the game within moments of his arrival as his pass set up Benjamin Auer for the equalizer on 68 minutes. Things got worse for Bremen when Naldo was sent off and Ono completed an astounding turnaround for the visitors when Anthar Yahia headed the winner home from the Japanese star's corner six minutes from time.
