Kashima Antlers forward Atsushi Yanagisawa sustained a broken left foot in a J-League match on Saturday, the first-division club said Monday.

Yanagisawa picked up the injury during the game at Shimizu S-Pulse, which was won 2-1 by Kashima thanks to a double from the 29-year-old member of Japan’s World Cup squads of 2002 and 2006. An X-ray confirmed the broken bone on Sunday.
