Yuki Nakamura won his second crown with a victory in the men's 5,000 meters and Japan increased its gold medal rush in athletics to 16 after winning the 4x400-meter relay final at the East Asian Games on Friday.

Nakamura added to his gold in the men's 10,000 meters with a time of 14 minutes, 5.77 seconds, while the Japanese men's 4x400 team of Yuki Yamaguchi, Yosuke Inoue, Takayuki Koike and Yoshihiro Horigome clocked 3:07.70 to edge runnerup Taiwan (3:09.06) in the final track and field event.
