Star jockey Yutaka Take posted an unprecedented 200th win of a graded race on the Japan Racing Association circuit Saturday when he won the grade 3 Arlington Cup aboard race favorite Big Planet.

The 1 3/4 length victory in the open-class race for 3-year-olds at Hanshin Racecourse in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, was the 49th overall win this year for the 35-year-old Take, who debuted 18 years ago and won his 100th graded-race win in 1997.

Last December, Take became the first JRA jockey to post 100 wins in overseas races. He has also led the JRA in year wins 14 times, and last year bested his previous record by seven to post 211 victories in a single season.
