Top Japanese Nordic combined skier Daito Takahashi will miss the team event at the world championships due to a sore back, which kept him out of last week's individual competition, Japanese skiing officials said Wednesday.
Takahashi has not recovered and will be replaced by Makoto Masaki on the four-man Japanese team.
